Love the name, so rich and velvety. But wouldn’t use it as it’s way too common.

Artemis today, 5:40 AM by Anonymous User
Elisha, Eliison and Eliis came from to honour
the name Elizabeth and all are popular unisex names for boys!! Like how Ashley is being used for boys too in Australia! Dakota, Enid, Hallie, Lauren and even Astrid are now becoming choices for boys too in recent years ✓
So Artemis for boys is not unforgivable or strange! It's fine! The meaning comes from hunt and moon and moon in some cultures is the symbol of masculinity. So Artemis can be used for boys too. Artemas is also better especially the connection to the bible stories. But you can't stop people because they want to name their son Artemis, You don't do it but that can't stop people.

Kaitlin today, 5:36 AM by Anonymous User

Shawna today, 3:56 AM by Charlie1977
Shawna Waldron (born on January 25, 1982), is an American actress, who started her career as an almost teen actress, when she was 12-years-old, I think. I mostly know her from playing first kid "Lucy Shepherd" in "The American President (1995)" and "Becky O'Shea" in "Little Giants (1994)", the latter being her debut movie.

Nyree yesterday, 10:11 PM by Flashash75
My name is Nyree. It's a family name. We are Australian Aboriginal heritage. I am named after my Aunty Nyree. I dispute the statement here that it was spelled this way because of the actress. My Aunty was born in 1905 on a mission in western NSW. Therefore this spelling was not created by the actress. Also, I was told by my grandfather and mum that for us it means "light of dawn"

Why not just Maeve instead? Or Violet, maybe?

Hayden yesterday, 6:24 PM by Anonymous User
My little brother is called Hayden. I always thought it was a girl's name. I saw my mom's birth announcement that was blue with the name Hayden, and I was so confused. But I do know other boys called Hayden. It's gender neutral. I don't mind the name at all. I like it better on a girl though.

Naomi 1 yesterday, 6:21 PM by Anonymous User
Beautiful! it's my name. I'm 15 years old, and for as long as i can remember, i've always gotten compliments on it. I never got teased because of the "i moan" thingy, so i don't think that it's a dealbreaker. i would rate my name a 9/10, because people usually have a problem with the pronunciation, but when i correct them once they always remember it (Nay-OH-mee). I just simply love it! i'm from england, and that name is not that common here, which is honestly a bonus point to this name, it's known without being overused. :)

Briana yesterday, 6:16 PM by Anonymous User
I don't really like my name, but I'm fine with people calling me Bri. When I was born, so many people told my parents to change the spelling to make it easier to pronounce. Someone said change it to "Briona" but that would make people say "bri-O-na" Then some people said to just change it altogether to "Brianna" which I like better but still prefer similar names like "Briar". Just to clarify, my name is pronounced "bri-ah-na" I used to get annoyed with people spelling and saying my name "Brianna" but now I don't mind. So many people assume that is what it is, and I honestly don't think it matters. Either one works. My family all calls me "Bri" anyway, so to tell you the truth, I wouldn't have a clue which is the "correct" way to pronounce it.

Alberta yesterday, 4:15 PM by Anonymous User
I never knew this was a name until I just saw it on someone’s Starbucks cup. I thought it was so beautiful I felt compelled to comment immediately. Albert isn’t one of my favorite names by a long shot. It strikes me as very ordinary, but something about Alberta just seems almost magical.

Celeste yesterday, 3:52 PM by Adelissa86
I can't decide which I like more - Celeste or Cecily. I definitely prefer Celeste's meaning, but I am leaning toward Cecily. Both are gorgeous names.

Candace yesterday, 2:56 PM by Adelissa86
I really like this name but I hate the nickname Candy and would be correcting people over and over. Dacey would be a cute nickname though.

Ellis yesterday, 1:04 PM by Anonymous User
I am surprised at how many comments mention this as better suited to a girl. Ellis is definitely a masculine name to me (and statistically is far more common for boys than girls - top 100 in the UK and not in the top 1000 for girls). My son is called Ellis and I love it.

Artemis yesterday, 8:27 AM by Anonymous User
I'm working in a kindergarten and I've known 4 Artemis' who all are boys! They were named after the moon or Artemis Fowl.
Yeah I know it's a girl name but in the other hands we have Logan and Tommie and Evan who are girls too.
So I don't see Artemis as a big deal for boys. Our Artemis' are all lovely.

I really, really like this. I’d actually pick it for a boy before I’d choose it for a girl. But it's really good for either.

Diane 6/6/2024, 11:42 PM by Anonymous User
Sounds pretty dated to me but it’s pretty, I would just assume they were from a certain generation if I didn’t know any better. It'd be cool to see it on a young girl.
