Rate More Names From Near Eastern Mythology!
It was a lot of fun to see what people thought about the Akkadian and Sumerian names, so I thought I'd make another post focusing on two other pantheons I find really interesting, the Ugaritic pantheon and the Canaanite pantheons. This time I added the roles these deities occupy in their respective mythologies as a fun little extra.Atargatis (Syrian goddess of fertility, also seen as chief of the gods, worshipped during Classical Antiquity)
Ashima (Canaanite goddess of fate)
Kinnaru (Ugaritic god, thought to be a personification of the lyre)
Tallay (Ugaritic weather goddess)
Yarikh (Moon god worshipped as a part of the Amorite and Ugaritic pantheons)
Resheph (Canaanite god of plague, the underworld, and war)โ˜พโ€‹ ๐Ÿ‡ฒโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ดโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ดโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ณโ€‹, โ€‹๐Ÿ‡นโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ชโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ฑโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ฑโ€‹ โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ฒโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ชโ€‹ โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ฎโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ซโ€‹ โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ฎโ€‹ โ€‹๐Ÿ‡จโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ดโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡บโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ฑโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ฉโ€‹/โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ธโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ชโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ณโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ฉโ€‹ โ€‹๐Ÿ‡บโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ตโ€‹ โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ฒโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡พโ€‹ โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ญโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ชโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ฆโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ทโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡นโ€‹ โ€‹๐Ÿ‡นโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ดโ€‹ โ€‹๐Ÿ‡พโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡ดโ€‹โ€‹๐Ÿ‡บโ€‹? โ˜ฝ
